PTI - February Blog Hop Wednesday Wishes #8

It's already the end of February which means its time for PTI's blog hop. The inspiration this month is a beauty. I loved the repetition of the pattern, bright colors, and white space. I also used a birthday sentiment so I can continue my Wednesday Wishes challenge for myself.

My take is a clean and simple design made easier by using my MISTI tool. I love that I could create a clean grid and re-stamp as much as I needed to get the bright colors. A spritz of Mister Huey's Shine color mist was the finishing touch.

Have fun hopping today! ~Rhonda

Forever Friends

Once you get the embossing paste out you might as well keep the mess going! I used the cloud dies to make a stencil. Such fun texture.

I used my Xyron machine with the true black cardstock so the "forever" would be easy to place. The black embossing really stands out against the distress inks. Have a great one!~Rhonda

MIM #201 - Cover Plate Stencils and embossing paste

Playing along with this week's PTI - Make it Monday #201! Getting messy with embossing paste. I decided to add a couple of drops of Tropical Teal ink to my paste for a bright background. I like the imperfections in color. I even like the charm of the bleeds under the stencil at the bottom. (you gotta like it or start over!)I used several of the small stamps in the set to add pops of red and teal to the circles.

What do you think about the cover plate stencil I made?? I found clear template plastic in the quilting section at Jo-Ann's that worked perfectly. I had to use the metal shim to get a good cut. I can know get it messy and it washes right off.
Enjoy the weekend!! ~Rhonda

Smile

I hope you have something to SMILE about!! I am still playing with my MISTI. Using lots of sentiments on a card front is so much easier. I was able to stamp the sentiments in winter wisteria at the same time, then the 3 sentiments in limeade ice.

I then "thought" I was through so used the Herringbone Impression Plate. I decided I had too much white space so I added the sentiment in Royal Velvet. I had to stamp it a couple of times to get a full image. I would have messed it up for sure without the tool.

I love that I'm adding several cards at a time to my stash. It takes me sooo long to design one.

All the bright purple is making me SMILE! Enjoy your day. ~Rhonda

Wednesday Wishes #7

Have you fallen under the spell of the new MISTI tool? Mine arrived earlier in the week. There is definitely a learning curve but it is well worth it. I used it to create this week's card. I decided to try some layered flowers which I've not had too great of success with in the past.

I love that I can use re-ink stamps and use my light color inks so easily. I even "dressed up" an envelope using PTI's Framed stamp set. My rectangle stayed in shape without warp.

I think whenever I'm using the MISTI that I will at least make a couple of cards. I changed out the sentiment this time. ~Rhonda

Happy Valentine's Day Friends!

I hope you have a wonderful day! I needed some goodies bags for a team building meeting that happens this weekend. Chocolate is always appropriate and of course a CUTE water bottle wrap.

I found some chalkboard paper in the Target $ spot that were perfect for this purpose. I doodled hearts and arrows.

Can you see the heart confetti that I bagged from all the heart die cuts? Each bag has a water bottle, chocolate, and mints. ~Rhonda

Hugs & Kisses

Do you have all your Valentine projects completed? I finished the last of mine today.

I enjoyed making this sweet card. I was so excited when I found the Hugs & Kisses sentiment. Perfect paired with the kiss from scenti-mentals. Have a great day! ~Rhonda

Wednesday Wishes #6

Do you know some friends that won't receive a Valentine this weekend? I think that this could be a hard holiday for some. I thought a goody bag and a card would be fun.

I decided to use the sentiments from the Shakers and Sprinkles. You could substitute "with love" if that works better for you.

I am also linking this to Papertrey Ink's Day 3 challenge - Handmade tag and matching gift bag.

Wednesday Wishes #5

Already another Wednesday and Wednesday Wishes! My Wednesday post is all about cards that send wishes of some kinds. Today is encouragement with a bit of a Valentine feel! We are very lucky indeed if we have a friend that warms our heart!!

I had to do same masking to get my mugs layered. I haven't done that in a while so it was fun! This is a pretty easy set for that technique. Good practice for me. The steam is from Comfort Food.

I hope you are staying warm. I'm flying back from Chicago today. It is crazy cold there. ~Rhonda

How about a little variety, Garden Variety this is! I may be pushing spring just a little but the sentiment seemed appropriate for February.

I love Colorbox's silver ink. Great coverage and the little watering can is so cute! I used the tools to ground the image. I think it worked.

Here is the inside. I used a distress tool to lay down some sweet blush ink. ~Rhonda
