Thankful for Friends

I had a lot of fun creating this card. I using my mini inker tool to create the background using distress inks. The next step was putting the circle graph stencil in Versamark ink and embossing with black powder. I had no idea if it would work but it really created a cool effect.

I used my perfect pearls for the 1st time with the collage background. Oh my, I LOVE them! ~Rhonda

Smile + Happy + Stencils

I had some fun with a stencil and distress inks!  On the first card I used the mini distress tool to push the ink into the "petals". I then generously spritzed it with water. I used a heat tool to dry it which helps the ink look bold.

On this second card I put the ink on the plastic of the stencil and pressed into the paper. Not the best of impressions but still fun.

I tied several colors of twine around the half and half die to match the great ink colors.

Have a wonderful day!~Rhonda

Birthday Happiness + dots

I selected my large polka dotted paper first and then in another MME paper pad I found the matching smaller polka dots. I continued the theme by using the Doodie-do stamps with its circle elements. I cut several of the Simply framed die so I could glue them together for some dimension.

I currently am loving flower stamps just done in black or smokey shadow and NOT colored in. I like the graphic feel. Are there too many dots for you?? ~Rhonda

What's Up? June Papertrey Blog Hop

I went CAS for my PTI Blog Hop card this month. I loved the frame sketch and the 1st color recipe. I originally considered taking the sketch literally and cut frames but started looking through my dies for something that had several sizes.

I decided the arrows would be fun and then I had to hunt up a sentiment that made sense. I think the "What's Up" with the arrow from Boy Basics: Skater Dude is perfect plus I had never inked it up before.

I stacked all the colors together on 2 of the arrows to create some dimension and it looks fun from the side. You can see this in the 1st image at the top.

I really do appreciate you taking the time to visit my blog. Happy Hopping! ~Rhonda

Happy + A Beautiful Ride

I'm playing along with the MIM #169 this week. The challenge is to use vellum as an overlay or with a sentiment. It is always a challenge to adhere vellum so you don't see the adhesive. I chose to sew the main panel down. The sentiment is held in place by a brad in the "spokes" of the bicycle wheel.

I cut the phase play #5 die twice to shorten it and still get my rounded corners. It makes a great square accent.

Almost makes me want a bicycle. Do you have one you ride? ~Rhonda

Congrats to the Grad

I needed some masculine graduation cards and think these fit the bill perfectly. I used the school colors for the background paper and ink.

The hat is inlaid so it creates interest and keeps it easy for mailing. I used the Peek A Boo Chevron inside to draw attention to the sentiment which I placed at the bottom. I need to do that more often. ~Rhonda

Happy Father's Day

Just popping in to share a Father's Day card. A Little Argyle created the perfect border and just a few diamonds inked added the perfect pop!

I got to see my Daddy yesterday. So thankful he is such an important part of my life. I hope you are getting to spend time with those you love. ~Rhonda

Happy Birthday + Circle Scribbles

I water-colored this text block several weeks ago but never put it on a card til now. I used the back of the circle scribble stamps to create my colorful spots. I am really pleased with the results. I think it would be easy to change the colors for a more masculine card.

I hope you are enjoying June and your summer plans! ~Rhonda

Sending Thanks - MFTWS #179

My inspiration for this card is the MFT Weekly Sketch #179. If you compare the sketch you will notice I loosely followed it. I tried another paper behind the typewriter but it felt too busy. So clean and simple is where I stayed.

The sketch got me stamping so I consider that a BIG win! Have a great weekend. ~Rhonda
