Thankful Thursday #47

Thankful Thursdays are my opportunity to "Up My Gratitude." The goal is to make at least one card a week to thank someone. I LOVE when you play along by linking up below.

Talk about a quick post. Things are CRAZY here. I have now installed tree #19 with my Christmas team. We are having a blast. Do you use the old fashioned silver tinsel on your tree? We did one today and I has surprised at how beautiful it looked finished.

On to the card. I used the snowflake die and fishtail flags from MFT.  I also used glitter. I think it clumped just a little too much. Guess I will keep playing with it to master the technique!!

Have a great week!! ~Rhonda

it's a boy

I love it when a card I see in my head actually happens! Houndstooth is perfect for a boy and perfect for my waves!

I'm playing with my Copic Markers again. I will never get better at my coloring without practicing. Can you hear your Mother in your head saying that? :) never did get better at piano. Just did not like it.

Have a great day friends! ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #46

Thankful Thursdays are my opportunity to "Up My Gratitude." The goal is to make at least one card a week to thank someone. I LOVE when you play along by linking up below. I can't believe we have already had 46 Thursdays! Just a few more to go.

Happy Blessed Thanksgiving to each of you!! I hope you are enjoying time with family and friends plus eating a few delicious desserts.  We are spending time with my husband's family.

I have a simple card today. I had the background pieces left from previous cards just setting around. It always feel great to use them up! The flower is MFT's Plentiful Petals die. I LOVE this die! You can bend the petals to get lots of lift and movement.

The yellow frame is cut using PTI's Fabulous Frames collection. The sentiment is from PTI's Think Big #19.

If you made a card to thank your holiday host, I would love for you to play along. {HUG} your family and cherish the time you have together. ~Rhonda

A leafy trio is up for your viewing pleasure this week. Super simple.

My favorite detail is adding a little Pure Poppy ink to the edges of the Canyon Clay ink on the stamp. I thinks it creates a feeling of movement.

Such a classic stamp set! ~Rhonda

stamps: PTI Leaf Prints
ink: PTI Canyon Clay, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate
paper: PTI Canyon Clay, Vintage Cream

Birthday Wishes

Do you get many happy accidents while stamping? My intent on this first card was to have the card base go horizontal. But I started stamping the background stamp and the 4th time would have gone off the top so I changed the orientation and LOVE it! The white space looks good.

The second card uses lots of impression plates to get its punch. I really like Ocean Tides and brown together. Fabulous colors.

The Herringbone plate at work.

The Diamond plate at work. Do you have a favorite?

Mojo Monday #266

Just getting this card in under the wire. I made this to celebrate my Mother's 70th birthday! Happy Birthday MOM!! I love you.

I used the Mojo Monday #266 sketch as my starting point. I used a clear pillow box to hold a gift card. Verve's Loopy Bloom die in felt was perfect. I love that I found a button that mimicked the cutouts of the die.

I used another new My Mind's Eye Paper pad called Ruby. The colors and patterns are great.  PTI's Scarlett Jewel is a great compliment to this paper pad.

I stamped the inside with a sentiment from PTI's Big Birthday Wished set.

I'm gearing up for another busy week putting up Christmas decor for clients. We decorate 4 homes this week. I hope you have a great week. ~Rhonda

I used Verve's World Card Making Day sketch once again. I turned it on its side.

I love this Verve Bountiful stamp set. The font is pretty and it has these wonderful pumpkins.

The leaf on the pumpkin reminded me of stars hence the star border die. The herringbone impression plate adds so much texture. You can see it best in the top photo.

I hope you are remembering to thank those around you. It is always fun to get happy mail.

Thanks for stopping by friends! ~Rhonda

I'm playing along with Cas-ual Fridays: CFC77 and PTI's Make It Monday #89 Creating Windows for Floating Images . I thought the images from Little Hot Rod would fit the bill for both challenges. The sentiments on the inside are from Little Hot Rod (I selectively inked out the word hi) and Birthday Bash.

Don't you love the little polka dotted clouds? I am using new paper from My Mind's Eye - Oliver. I love everything about it, fabulous colors. The enamel dot on the propeller is also from Oliver.

It is an absolutely stunning day here. 80 degrees. I hope you are having a wonderful day. ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #43

I am also using this card for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. We were to create a Clean And Simple project using Kraft. It can be a card, tag, layout, etc., as long as it's CAS. I {HEART} kraft.

Do you have lots of background stamps? I have several and never used them much. I challenged myself to figure them out. They are really nice for keeping the number of layers to a minimum which is so wonderful when it comes time to mail.

The background basics: rainbow is so pretty. PTI's new longer size is great too. Easy to line up. Someone mentioned like a puzzle piece. I agree.

Did you spot the crackled stamp behind the tree? The top photo shows this well.

Can you believe we are into November?~Rhonda

ink: PTI Dark Chocolate, Canyon Clay, Classic Kraft, Versamark
