Thankful Thursday #52

Thankful Thursdays are my opportunity to "Up My Gratitude." The goal is to make at least one card a week to thank someone. I LOVE when you play along by linking up below.

Today is the last Thankful Thursday! #52 has arrived. I have to say that I am proud of myself for keeping it going. It was a LOT harder that I imagined it to be. I tend to start out good and then something happens to change my focus or life happens. It wasn't always easy, especially when inspiration just wasn't there or traveling or trying to plan ahead for busy times BUT I DID IT!!! Perseverance is what it is about.

I am very thankful to YOU for visiting and for those who played along and gave much needed encouragement. ~Rhonda

This is also a catch up card as I missed a week in September during vacation. I keep wondering why the weeks weren't working out but had not slowed down long enough to investigate. aaahhh Live and Learn!! A super easy card today.

Have a great week! ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #50

My card this week is inspired by the Mojo Monday #272 sketch. I thought this would be a perfect sketch for some mailable cards. I had never inked up the snowflakes in Verve's Merry Wishes till now. I embossed them in white. They are absolutely beautiful and gave such a clear impression.

The paper is from Carta Bella's Winter Fun 6x6 pad. The blue, taupe, and red color and patterns are so pretty.

I considered just a strip of kraft paper to help with the mail-abilty but I just had to use the kraft ribbon from PTI. The sentiment from fillable frames on a tiny tag tied with twine finishes these cards.

Have a safe weekend. Don't run over anyone trying to get to a parking space. ~Rhonda

What is your Christmas color palette? I have seen lots of red and aqua mist together. It won't work in my house but goes great into the mailbox! "Thankful" is a die from Papertrey Ink. The "4 you" is a new stamp set from MFT - gift card greetings.

Hoping to get some Christmas shopping done soon. One present bought means a lot more to be finished. Make sure you thank a harried store clerk this week. I'm sure they could use an extra smile.

Thanks for stopping by friends! ~Rhonda

I thought I would get a little ahead by making some Christmas thank you cards. I used Candy Cane Christmas to make my background paper. These would be super easy to mass produce.

Some twine and a thank you sentiment from Star Prints were all that was needed to finish this "sweet" card.

Have you finished decorating your home for Christmas? I have two more homes to finish then I will start some shopping. I'm WAYYYY behind. ~Rhonda

Talk about a quick post. Things are CRAZY here. I have now installed tree #19 with my Christmas team. We are having a blast. Do you use the old fashioned silver tinsel on your tree? We did one today and I has surprised at how beautiful it looked finished.

On to the card. I used the snowflake die and fishtail flags from MFT.  I also used glitter. I think it clumped just a little too much. Guess I will keep playing with it to master the technique!!

Have a great week!! ~Rhonda

it's a boy

I love it when a card I see in my head actually happens! Houndstooth is perfect for a boy and perfect for my waves!

I'm playing with my Copic Markers again. I will never get better at my coloring without practicing. Can you hear your Mother in your head saying that? :) never did get better at piano. Just did not like it.

Have a great day friends! ~Rhonda

Thankful Thursday #46

Thankful Thursdays are my opportunity to "Up My Gratitude." The goal is to make at least one card a week to thank someone. I LOVE when you play along by linking up below. I can't believe we have already had 46 Thursdays! Just a few more to go.

Happy Blessed Thanksgiving to each of you!! I hope you are enjoying time with family and friends plus eating a few delicious desserts.  We are spending time with my husband's family.

I have a simple card today. I had the background pieces left from previous cards just setting around. It always feel great to use them up! The flower is MFT's Plentiful Petals die. I LOVE this die! You can bend the petals to get lots of lift and movement.

The yellow frame is cut using PTI's Fabulous Frames collection. The sentiment is from PTI's Think Big #19.

If you made a card to thank your holiday host, I would love for you to play along. {HUG} your family and cherish the time you have together. ~Rhonda

A leafy trio is up for your viewing pleasure this week. Super simple.

My favorite detail is adding a little Pure Poppy ink to the edges of the Canyon Clay ink on the stamp. I thinks it creates a feeling of movement.

Such a classic stamp set! ~Rhonda

supplies used:
stamps: PTI Leaf Prints
ink: PTI Canyon Clay, Pure Poppy, Dark Chocolate
paper: PTI Canyon Clay, Vintage Cream
other: PTI Leaf print dies, woodgrain impression plate, twine

Birthday Wishes

Do you get many happy accidents while stamping? My intent on this first card was to have the card base go horizontal. But I started stamping the background stamp and the 4th time would have gone off the top so I changed the orientation and LOVE it! The white space looks good.

The second card uses lots of impression plates to get its punch. I really like Ocean Tides and brown together. Fabulous colors.

The Herringbone plate at work.

Mojo Monday #266

Just getting this card in under the wire. I made this to celebrate my Mother's 70th birthday! Happy Birthday MOM!! I love you.

I used the Mojo Monday #266 sketch as my starting point. I used a clear pillow box to hold a gift card. Verve's Loopy Bloom die in felt was perfect. I love that I found a button that mimicked the cutouts of the die.

I used another new My Mind's Eye Paper pad called Ruby. The colors and patterns are great.  PTI's Scarlett Jewel is a great compliment to this paper pad.

I stamped the inside with a sentiment from PTI's Big Birthday Wished set.

I'm gearing up for another busy week putting up Christmas decor for clients. We decorate 4 homes this week. I hope you have a great week. ~Rhonda
