With Sympathy

Just a quick card. I made this originally for the class I taught but it didn't make it home so I did it again and changed the sentiment.

The fillable frame #1 set is my go-to set. Love the matching die!!

Today is my sweet hubby's birthday. Bob and I are going to pick strawberries if the rain will just hold off!!  ~Rhonda

Supplies used
Stamps: Papertrey Ink - Turning a New Leaf, Fillable Frames #1, Mega Mixed Messages
Paper: SU Mellow Moss; Papertrey Ink - Vintage Cream
Ink: Versamark; SU - Soft Suede
Other: Papertrey Ink - Fillable Frame #1 die; ribbon from Hobby Lobby; EK - border punch

you DID IT!

Today was the first time to ink up Enjoy the Ride! The matching die is fabulous but what is most impressive is how well the two car images line up. The layout is based on the MojoMonday136 challenge. This is one I can see using again and again.

I used a silver spica pen to add shine to the headlights, bumper, and windshield.

Fresh Alphabet has the perfect size numbers to use for 2010 inside the Take Note dotted circle. Punch with your 1 3/4 punch and it's done.

The graduation invitations are rolling in! ~Rhonda

hello friend and prom

What can be happier than flowers? Lots of flowers? Beautiful Blooms II and the matching dies made this card easy peasy to do.

Do you see the flowers with rhinestones? They are jeweled Flora Doodles that I purchased from Hobby Lobby. They come in several colors but I colored mine with Copic markers. Love how they turned out.

I used PTI's distressed stripes for background on the Kraft paper and then embossed the sentiment.

Don't blink Moms! You baby will be a senior before you know it!! The Christian Homeschool Prom took place on Saturday in Dallas. Reed and Greta joined 950 other kids for a great evening. Reed and I are staying busy with graduation right around the corner.

Enjoy the sunshine wherever you are!! ~Rhonda

A Hug . . . in the Middle

I completed my 1st circle card! I used Spellbinders' large scallop circle for the card base. The paper is from Penny Lane."Suzette" is a Bella Ketto that I colored with Copic Markers and popped up with dimensional foam tape.

The sentiment is from PTI's Big and Bold Wishes. I used a circle nestie to help me get the curve just right.

Don't you just love this sentiment?

Thanks for visiting! ~ Rhonda

Blogging and Stamping Pt 2

I had a wonderful time sharing information on blogging and stamping Wednesday. There were 35 women in attendance with only a couple who had some stamping experience.  I had samples but everyone quickly gave the projects their own signature style.

I had six tables ready to go. Everyone was working hard and learning something new.

Looking at some of the cards I had made.

The Beautiful Blooms II dies worked great for an easy card.  We used two large and 1 medium to create the flower. Giga Guidelines was the perfect image to stamp on the die cuts. Add a button and Polka Dot Basics II to a background of Spring Rain to complete the project.

The next card used Dot Spot as the background on SU Lovely Liliac. The bubble border punch pulled the design together.

I wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who left comments encouraging our class! We had a great time.~Rhonda

Blogging and Stamping

Today, with the addition of the internet and wider world of blogging, you can connect with a larger community that shares your interests. Inspiration and education is just a click away.  I am sharing that information today with a woman's group in Oklahoma.

From the basics of what is a blog, a post, and leaving a comment to then making their own creation with a make and take card.

I've included some peeks at the cards we will be creating in our class. If you would like to encourage our class leave a comment!!!

Hope everyone is having a fabulous day!! We are!!!! ~ Rhonda

Happy Spring!

While out flower shopping last week, I just had to stop into a local scrapbook store since I was in the area. I couldn't resist this sweet My Umbrella image from Pure Innocence. I made TWO cards in different colors. This was a great practice piece for Copic Markers as the umbrella area has lots of room to practice blending.

I didn't know how appropriate this image would be when purchasing, we have since had 4" of rain.

The sentiment is from PTI - Egg Hunt along with the New Leaf buttons.

Crystal Effects on the rain boots adds sparkle!

I figured out my bow easy to create the bow using PTI - Hawaiian Shores Polka Dot Satin ribbon.

The rain is supposed to go away today. I know the thousands of people in town for the Nascar Races are hoping that is true. Enjoy your day! ~Rhonda

Happy Happy Birthday - Peeps Challenge

I made this card for the Papertrey Peeps Challenge a few days ago and I'm just now getting it posted. The funny part is we were to CASE a card of Nicole Heady from Papertrey Ink and now I can't remember what card I CASed!!!!!!

Someone please tell me you are loosing brain cells too!!!!! I'll keep looking!!

OK!!! I found the card I was CASing.

Did you order the Hawaiian Shores buttons? They actually made me smile when they arrived. They are a happy color.

I'm working the elections today to get a lttle extra cash so I can justify my purchases on the 15th!!! Right!!! ~Rhonda

Supplies used:
Stamps: Dot Spot, Fillable Frames #1- Papertrey Ink
Paper: Hawaiian Shore, Stampers Select - Papertrey Ink
Other: Hawaiian Shore buttons and twill ribbon, Fillable Frame #1 Die - Papertrey Ink

You Make ME Smile

I'm playing along with Becky's Compose a Card challenge #8. I loved her daughters Easter dresses. I think I would like one in my size.

The basic design of the card happened by accident for me. I was working on another card for the Peeps challenge using dot spot and put my dot spot on the acrylic block backwards which created a circle that looked a little distressed. So that was the beginning of this design.

I then stamped the right side of dot spot using a smaller size than the background dot. I embossed with Zing Chestnut to get the finished look.

A sentiment using Signature Greeting, spring moss ribbon and a New Leaf button finished this beautifully.

If you saw my last post you know that I had 88 bags of pine bark mulch delivered on Saturday. We are half way done. My body was so tired last night that I just SAT! I took a couple of pictures this morning. Nothing like new mulch to make a flower bed look wonderful.

Have a great Monday everyone! ~ Rhonda

Supplies used:
stamps: Dot Spot, Signature Greetings - Papertrey Ink
Paper: Dark Chocolate, Select White - Papertrey Ink
Ink: Fresh Snow - Papertrey Ink Rich Cocoa - Memento
Other: New Leaf button, Spring Moss twill ribbon - Papertrey Ink, Chestnut embossing powder - Zing, Circle Die - Spellbinders

Birthday Wishes!

Presentahbella was fun to color! Oh to have such long legs!!! But since I quit growing at 5'3" I think that is outside the realm of possibility.

My layout is based on a Jacksonbelle Embellishments sketch. I definitely took liberties by turning it and using the rickrack die in place of patterned paper.

The color were inspired by the Color Throwdown challenge.

For the sentiment I stamped Birthday wishes 3 times on a small tag and then cut between them so I could bend and twist them a little bit.

We have 88 bags of pine bark mulch being delivered today so I'm off to weed flower beds so the new mulch can be spread around. Gotta have jobs for my teenage sons. They are thrilled! NOT!

Enjoy your weekend! ~ Rhonda

Supplies used:
Stamps: Stamping Bella - Presentahella, PTI - Mixed Messages

Ink: Stampin Up - Garden Green
Copic Markers: E00, E35, E57,YG17, R81, R83, R85

Happy Spring

I love this Tilda image! She is so cute. I heat embossed the sentiment from PTI in white. I'm toying with cutting apart the sentiment so I can have happy spring on its own. What do you think? Should I do it?

The weather is absolutely gorgeous here. I need to spend some time in my flower beds. I planted onions yesterday which is a little late here but hopefully they will do well. Flat leaf parsley and dill have also been planted.

Enjoy your day! ~Rhonda

Supplies used:
stamps: Magnolia Tilda not sure of #, PTI Egg Hunt
Paper: from my stash
extras: Spellbinders lg rectangles and scalloped rectangles, white embossing powder
Lots of Copic markers of which I didn't write down and I've already mailed the card. Sorry.

So Sweet of YOU!

If you saw yesterdays post this card will look familiar. Delightful Dahlias is easy to use. Today I stamped the image onto PTI's Pretty Pastels with berry sorbet ink. The pearls were made with the Viva Pearl Pen in dark brown.
