Top Ten of 2010

Hi Everyone!!! As many others are doing, I decided to spend a little time reviewing my posts of the year to pick my top 10 cards. I decided to pick my favorite of each month and didn't like any of my February cards and thought my December cards you might have already seen so 10 cards works for me.

What else did I learn on my review? I think I'm a clean and simple gal. Vintage doesn't fit. I like digi. I like flat that I can mail. Seam binding and Rit dye are favorite items.
I hope you get to toot a horn Friday evening and don't forget to eat your black-eyed peas for New Year's luck. ~Rhonda

Glory

I'm playing along with the sketch Viva La Verve Challenges which focus on ornaments and winter decor for the month of December. If you participate in all 4 sketches you have the opportunity to WIN the January release. Wouldn't that be FUN!!! I have three completed and I'm waiting on the last sketch.

I fell in love with the My Mind's Eye Holly Jolly double-sided paper. The berries are a wonderful Ocean Tide color so that became my accent. I decided to do ALL the sketches in the same paper. The sentiment is from Verve - Richly Blessed.

I used Papertrey Ink stamps and die as well on the second card. The Larger than Life set. I love these dies.

The third card is the simplest but maybe my favorite. All of these cards have already been mailed.

Here is a close up of the red stickles on the berries from Verve - Merry Wishes. They add the perfect finishing touch.

We get to see our nephews (twins 18 mo. and lil one 5 mo.) tomorrow. We are getting a family picture taken on Friday. I'm sure it will be crazy. I can't wait till everyone is TOGETHER!! ~Rhonda

Dinner anyone?

We are making our family Christmas dinner today. As we celebrate several times in different places, we start early at our home. I made these treat boxes for each place setting. I had a blast "setting" the table.

This is the first time to go all out with the dining room decorations. I love the little mirror strands that are hanging from the chandelier.

The tall glass canisters that I purchased for fall are coming in handy for all seasons. Filled with ornaments they add lots of sparkle.

I think we will be eating in our summer wear as we experience several days of 70 degree weather again. ~Rhonda

Gift Card Box

The gifts were wrapped except TWO!!!! and I needed to create gift card holders! I found the perfect inspiration in a FB Splitcoast Stampers post about Marie's present gift holders.

The instructions were so easy to follow and the results are impressive. Hope you think so too!!!

The inside is stamped with a Verve set - Richly Blessed. "May you be richly blessed this Christmas and always"

I love these with the silver paper. You can see the different sizes that I made. The larger one is 6" wide and the smaller is 4" wide.

Thought I'd share a Christmas picture of the wrapped presents. Do you recognize any of the tags? What fun to put them on family presents.

I hope you are having a wonderful evening. I'm drinking some hot tea and playing with stamps.  ~Rhonda

Chloe Banner

I made a banner for a sweet little girl, Chloe. Don't you think this will look so cute in her room? I had fun creating with the pinks. Not much call for those girly colors at my home. My guys wouldn't even be caught in a pink shirt!!!

The pink ribbon is seam binding that I dyed with Petal Pink Rit Dye. My Hobby Lobby has a wide selection of colors in the liquid dye.

I used Nicole's tutorial for the Lazy Stamper Accordion Medallion. I thought it would take forever but was pleasantly surprised. I did use my trusty glue gun to make sure the medallions stayed put.

Hope you are having a wonderful week. ~Rhonda

Super-size Your Tags

I took apart a Christmas chipboard album from Michael's that is perfect for super-sized tags.

Santa Baby and Key Lime Pie Glimmer Mist quickly turned plain chipboard into a shiny background. I had considered using Modge Podge to adhere paper but this was so much quicker and looks great.

The rickrack die made decorating the ornaments fun. I will be searching the clearance bins for more of these chipboard albums for next year.

Can you believe Christmas is only a couple of weeks away? ~Rhonda

Reindeer Tags

Hi Everyone! Hope you are ALL doing well!!! December is whizzing by at a breakneck pace. I have finished the decorating job until the New Year when I do take down. It felt so good to get inky today. I've missed my craft therapy.

Don't you love this reindeer? I LOVE that you don't have to "color" him!!!! A drop of red stickles is perfect for his nose.

How is your Christmas shopping progressing? I still have more to do!! ~Rhonda

many thanks

I recently picked up the Cosmo Cricket mini deck Togetherness. There are some fabulous papers in this collection. They look really nice with PTI's Hawaiian Shores ink.

This was another quick card. I will make this one again. The frame is Spellbinders Labels One. ~Rhonda

Christmas Light Tip: This light gun is the best thing for getting your lights to work. It doesn't look like much but it is fabulous. It didn't help my tree this year- too far gone, But it has in the past. I have seen these at Hobby Lobby and Walmart. Here is an on-line source for The Light Keeper Pro.

supplies:
stamps: PTI - Take Three: Summer
paper: PTI Vintage Cream; Cosmo Cricket Togetherness
ink: PTI Hawaiian Shores
other: Spellbinders Labels One; PTI Lemon Tart ribbon

Triple Play

I'm playing along with Verve's Triple Play Project Parade. The challenge is to create a terrific trio of yumminess!  You can create three different things that all coordinate (like a bag, a card and a tag) or create three different cards or three different tags, etc. I chose to create 3 ATC scripture memory cards.

I used the Pyrus mini deck paper from BasisGrey. Added Verve Plain Jane stamps, dyed seam binding, die cut tags and TA DA!

They will be perfect on a mirror or on the car dash. Much better than a 3x5 index card. LOVE THEM!!!!

Hope you are having a wonderful week!!!

Here's a free tip for your Christmas decorating. Just cuz the LED lights say they are Warm White - half will be Cool White and then you figure this out after you have them on the tree!!!!! Check them at the store ladies!!!. :) ~Rhonda

stamps: Verve - Plain Janes
paper: BasicGrey - Pyrus; PTI - Vintage Cream
ink: SU - Dusty Durango; PTI - Ocean  Tides, Chia, & Chamomile

Homemade Cookies

My Mother was baking cookies for a sale so I of course had to pull out PTI's Everyday Treats. The treat toppers really made the bags stand out on the sale table. They were ALL gone!!!

Don't you love the embossing on the Pure Poppy? I couldn't decide if I liked the clear or white the best.

Mom used this recipe for Oatmeal Chocolate Walnut Cherry cookies. Absolutely fabulous.

Enjoy your weekend! ~Rhonda

Gift Card Tag Bag

Thought you might enjoy seeing a picture of the booth from the Arts & Crafts show I participated in on Saturday. I had a blast talking to people and selling some goodies. That makes for some guilt free stamp shopping!!

Do you see the tag bags on the little tree?

I used small glassine bags that are the perfect size for gift cards.

Here is a close up of a couple of the tags. They are so cute!

I turned down the little top flap of the bag and punched a hole. Insert your gift card, fold over the top, and then attach the gift tag. These are perfect for the tree or a little something extra for a package. You could even put just a note if you don't want to put in a gift card or cash.

I hope you are having a great week! I can't believe that it is already Wednesday again. I ordered a ton of the glassine bags so I'd be happy to sell you some if you need them. ~Rhonda

Lady Bug

A friend had a new baby girl and the room is decorated with LADY BUGS!! PTI had the perfect set for creating this framed birth announcement. What do you think???

The sunshine impression plate added the right amount of texture to the background. A few RED rhinestones as the dotted i's added a little fun. The largest lady bug is popped up.

I had to make a matching gift bag/tag as well. I really like the black gingham ribbon.

I want to thank Steph from the PTI forum for letting me borrow this stamp set!! Hope you have a fabulous weekend! ~Rhonda

supplies used:
stamps: PTI Little Lady, Signature Greetings
paper: PTI Stampers Select White, Black, Bitty Dots
ink: SU Real Red, Memento Tuxedo Black
other: Frame and bag from Hobby Lobby, PTI Tag Sale One die, rhinestones - stash

Notebooks - Take 2

Just a few more notebooks! The perfect little gift for friends and family. I am using a large glassine bag folded in half for the packaging. I ordered a large amount from a supplier so I'd be happy to sell some if you need them.

I had several questions about my holiday gig! Depending on the home size, the team can be as small as four people or as large as 14 and we are at the same home for FOUR days!! Just a FEW Christmas trees there. As you can imagine, the Christmas tree toppers are fabulous and the decorations over the dining room tables!! OH MY!

Happy Stamping Everyone!! Rhonda
